The Ph.D. Research Scholars are required to undertake Ph.D. coursework of one semester duration within one year (two years in case of external Research Scholars) from the date of registration in to the programme in accordance with the University Academic Schedule.

• The Research Scholar shall be allowed to undertake the Research work after successful completion of the following Core coursework, which shall comprise of 4 papers:
• Research Methodology
• Computer Applications
• Quantitative & Statistical Techniques
• Dissertation on Review of Literature

                        The study schedule for the coursework shall be as given below:

• In addition, the Scholar shall also undertake the following two Skill Development courses along with its research work
• Communication Skills
• Teaching Methodology           

• The Research Scholars shall also undertake the following compulsory courses along with its research work under Certification of Community Awareness for the fulfillment of University Mission. The grading system shall be as per the University rules.
• Women Rights & Empowerment
• Women Law Management
• Disaster Management
• Environmental Studies

The coursework and their study schedule is given below:

• The Coursework shall comprise of 40 credits (each credit is equivalent to 15 hrs of studies) including eight credits for Certificate of Community Awareness Education, which has to be undertaken at the University Campus both by the Regular & External Research Scholars.
• For Regular Research Scholars: Coursework of 600hrs is to be undertaken in First Two semesters and Minimum contact hours for research work required shall be 360 hrs in 2 yrs. For External Research Scholars: Coursework of 600hrs is to be undertaken in First Four Semesters and Minimum contact hours for research work required shall be 360 hrs in3 yrs.
• The Syllabus & Schedule of the coursework shall be posted on the University Website.
• The research scholar is required to submit a dissertation on the Review of research work published / carried out so far in its chosen field.
• There shall be no Community Development Activity, Extra-curricular Activity & Co-curricular Activity in the programme.
• All the Examination Rules of the Department of Examination shall be applicable on evaluation of Ph.D. Coursework.
• The minimum period required for completion of a Ph.D. programme shall be two years (Three years in case of External Research Scholars) after the date of registration.
• Examinations of the University shall be open to all the Research Scholars who have undergone a course of study in the University for a period specified for that programme of study in the Teaching & Evaluation scheme for Ph.D. courses.
