1. Evaluation: The evaluation shall be on the basis of Academic Activities, Community Development Activities and Extra-Curricular Activities as per prescribed credits. In case of distance education, evaluation shall be on the basis of Academic Activities only.
2. Pattern of Evaluation: The University has three tier system of evaluation. In case of distance education it has two tier (I and II) system of evaluation.
I Continuous Assessment: In continuous assessment 05 marks are allotted for General Awareness and remaining for Class Test, Assignments, Quizzes, Viva – Voce, Group Discussions, Take Away Test etc. In distance education, a candidate shall be evaluated for continuous assessment through assignments and attendance of contact programme.
II End Term Examination: A candidate will be evaluated for the whole syllabus in the form of theory or practical examination at the end of each Trimester/Semester/Year.

A candidate will be evaluated on the basis of performance and attendance in these activities.
3. Eligibility: A candidate shall be eligible to appear for End Term Examination if she acquires a minimum of 80 % attendance in each paper. However, a condonation of shortage of attendance up to 20 % may be granted for medical leave and on grounds of approved academic leave.
4. Scheme of Evaluation
» The academic activities of a candidate in each Trimester/Semester/Year shall be evaluated paper-wise, through Continuous Assessment and End Term Examination.
» The distribution of weightage for evaluation of academic activities shall be
30% - Continuous Assessment
70 % - End Term Examination

Note: The University has two types of category of students:
| Category A: | Internal Students-The students who pursue a Regular Face to face or Distance/Online/Counseling based course of study at University campus or its collaborative centers. If the student completes the course by attending evening classes, then Internal (Evening) shall be mentioned on the Mark Sheet. |

| Category B: | External Students-The students who are not internal students and prepare for University Examinations as per rules are external students or the person who have not pursued the course of study in any of the University campus or its collaborative centers but she/he has appeared and passed the examinations of the University as a non regular student, is an external student. |
An External student will not be evaluated for Continuous Assessment, Community Development Activities and Extra-Curricular Activities. Her/his 100% evaluation will be through End Term Examination.
5. Minimum Pass Marks
» A candidate shall be declared pass in the examination if she / he secures at least 40% marks in the End Term Examination and 50% marks in aggregate i.e. (Marks obtained in Continuous Assessment + End Term Examination) in each paper. A candidate securing marks below 40% in End Term or 50% in aggregate will be awarded E grade (fail) and shall be promoted in the next trimester/Semester/ Year. E grade paper will be treated as backlog and the candidate shall have to clear the backlog examination in next 5 consecutive attempts. In any case, if a candidate is not able to clear his/her backlog in these attempts, then University has the right to break his/her studies for one year to clear his/her pending backlog(s). Her/his marks in Continuous Assessment, grades in Community Development and Extra-Curricular Activities will be carried forward. There shall be no minimum pass marks in Continuous Assessment, Community Development and Extra-Curricular Activities.
» Absentee will be treated as Backlog candidate.
» Final Year(s)/Semester(s)/Trimester(s) Memorandum of Marks, will not be issued until previous backlogs are cleared, however the result will be declared.

6. Re-evaluation and Re-totaling: A candidate can apply for Re-evaluation/Re-totaling of their End Term Results. There will be no revaluation and re-totaling of Practical papers, Community Development Activities, Extra-Curricular Activities and Continuous Assessment.
7. Grace Marks: Grace Marks will be awarded only in the first attempt. One Grace Mark will be awarded on the total marks of theory paper (Maximum in two theory papers).
8. Credit Conversion Scheme: The University allows exemption of duration Year(s)/Semester(s)/Trimester(s) to the candidates under Re Admission but they will have to clear the unmatched papers or complete Year(s) / Semester(s) / Trimester(s) according to the syllabus of the University. University provide Credit Conversion Certificate by granting exemption of the papers in which 70%of the syllabus is matching .If less than 70 % of the syllabus of any particular paper is matching then candidate will appear in Backlog Examination of that paper. Minimum 1 Year/2 Semester/3Trimester study from the University is compulsory for completing the degree from the University. The University has the right of acceptance of the evaluated credit of any University / Institution / Centre / Board / Organization or to reject the same.
